Marine Surveys for Export

This certificate is required for all exports especially for bulk commodities like soy, grain, seafood, meat, common household commodities including furniture, electronics, automotive parts etc. to ensure vessel safety, cargo integrity, and compliance with importing country rules, preventing boarder and customs enforcement issues that could cause rejections; requirements vary by commodity, country, and vessel type, but expect mandatory surveys for large bulk shipments and specific certificates for food products.

CSC Seaworthy Certification

Container City can provide CSC Seaworthy Certification for shipping containers that need to meet international and port-approved standards. We conduct inspections to verify that each container complies with the International Convention for Safe Containers (CSC) and is structurally sound for ocean transport, stacking, and heavy cargo use. When the cargo container passes inspection, we issue official documentation detailing inspection dates, load ratings, and compliance status. Making the container eligible for export, freight shipping, leasing, or resale.

Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI) – Extensive Reefer Inspection

Every refrigerated container (reefer) that leaves the Container City undergoes a Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI) to ensure it is fully operational, temperature-ready, and compliant for transport or storage use.

This extensive inspection is performed on every reefer before it exits the depot for a customer. The PTI confirms that all critical refrigeration components, electrical systems, and temperature controls are functioning properly before delivery or pickup.

PTI inspections help ensure:

Reliable temperature control
Proper operation of the refrigeration unit
Electrical and mechanical system readiness
Confidence that the reefer is delivery-ready upon departure
